Meeting Sensation Without Story
A guided practice to begin changing your relationship with sensation — so it can shift and move.
If you’ve come here from The Everyday Alchemists Podcast, you’re very welcome.
If something in that conversation resonated…
if you’re starting to see your body in a different way…
this is a place to begin.
This is a short guided practice where I walk you through how to:
Meet sensation in the body without immediately adding a story
Stay present with what you feel, rather than moving into analysis
Begin recognising how the body communicates through sensation
Because often, it’s not the sensation itself that keeps things stuck —
it’s the meaning we attach to it.
When that changes, the body can begin to shift.
This practice is a starting point.
Inside my course, Language of the Body, I guide you much deeper into understanding what your body is communicating — and how to work with it in a practical, grounded way.
I open this course a few times each year.
Hi, I’m Niamh Devine.
A number of years ago, I lost total function of my foot. Doctors told me it was nerve damage, with no clear explanation or path forward. What I did have was a body that was clearly communicating — even if I didn’t yet understand the language.
That moment began a deep inquiry into the relationship between the nervous system, emotion, belief, and physical symptoms.
What I discovered — and what I now teach — is this:
The body isn’t broken.
It’s protective.
Symptoms aren’t random — they’re intelligent signals pointing toward what hasn’t yet been felt or processed.
Today, I work with people experiencing a wide range of symptoms — from chronic pain and fatigue to anxiety, tension, and patterns that don’t always make sense on the surface. My role isn’t to ‘fix’ you, but to help you understand and respond to your body in a way that restores safety, function and vitality.
The Language of the Body Course brings this work together as a practical, grounded approach you can apply in real life.
This isn’t about bypassing the physical.
It’s about understanding it — and returning authority back to you.
