What is TRE?
TRE® is a sequence of gentle movements that activates your body’s natural neurogenic tremor — a built-in reflex that animals use to discharge stress. When guided safely, these tremors help down-regulate the nervous system, soften protective holding patterns, and create more ease in the body and mind.
TRE lets the body do what it already knows how to do. It chooses what to release and when — our only job is to allow.
Why it helps
TRE works directly with the body’s natural reflexes, helping to unwind deep patterns of holding that talking alone often can’t shift.
It can:
Unwind chronic muscular tension (jaw, neck/shoulders, back, hips/pelvis)
Support better sleep and deeper rest
Reduce stress reactivity; increase resilience and capacity

Complement talk therapy, bodywork, and mindfulness practices

Beyond these, TRE can also support the body in releasing stored survival energy, helping to soften hypervigilance and complete old stress cycles that were never discharged.

You’ll be guided to allow, modulate, pause, and stay within your own comfortable window.
The body leads; we simply allow.Integration
Grounding, rest, and practical after-care so your system settles and absorbs the release.
What you need (online):
A yoga mat or carpet, some wall space, a camera angled to see your full body, water, and comfortable non-restrictive clothing.
How a session works (with Niamh)
Frequency & The 5-Session Series
You can book single sessions as needed, or choose a fuller 5-session series.
Most people find that 3–6 sessions help them learn the method safely and confidently.
If you choose the 5-session series, you’ll also receive:
a step-by-step TRE instruction manual
an audio-guided practice for use at home
education on how the body stores charge, tension and survival energy
a clear understanding of fight/flight/freeze responses and how they show up in your system
guidance on building a safe, sustainable self-practice
Brief check-in support between sessions for simple questions
After completing the series, many people continue with short 10–15 minute home practices a few times per week — giving them a lifelong self-regulation tool they can return to anytime.

Working with Niamh
Niamh is a Certified TRE® Provider with a deeply embodied understanding of the nervous system, shaped by both professional training and her own lived experience of moving beyond the symptoms of PTSD through body-led work.
Her approach is slow, consent-led, and body-honouring — blending clear, grounded guidance with the intuitive presence that comes from years of somatic, energy, and mind–body practice. She has a natural ability to recognise defence patterns and gently support you through them so the body feels safe enough to release.
In working with Niamh, you’ll learn how your system responds to stress, how to stay within your window of safety, and how to build a confident TRE practice you can continue at home.
